Carlos Corberan has made two changes to his team as West Brom announced their confirmed starting XI for the Championship clash with Birmingham City at The Hawthorns.

The team on show today is largely the same as the one that started the 2-0 FA Cup defeat to Wolves, with Tom Fellows replacing Nathaniel Chalobah and Alex Palmer in for Joshua Griffiths.

New arrivals Mikey Johnston, who arrived from Celtic on deadline day, Andi Weimann and Callum Marshall have been left on the bench as they continue to integrate into the team and Corberan's plans for their roles at The Hawthorns.

West Brom v Birmingham is massive

Following the Black Country derby FA Cup clash against Wolves, West Brom go straight back into another local rivalry, with Birmingham travelling to The Hawthorns hoping to overturn their poor fortune of late.

Corberan's side are similarly looking to change their fortunes after losing their last two games, although they remain unbeaten in their last four league games at The Hawthorns, with the last home loss coming against league-topping Leicester City.

The new arrivals at West Brom have provided some more optimism after a disappointing summer window, with Johnston, Weimann and Marshall all keen to make an impact on the first team.

With a real chance at earning themselves a playoff place this season, Corberan will have to find a way towards more consistent results in the league, and given the situation that the club finds itself in with takeover talks ongoing, that playoff spot could lead to a small miracle at The Hawthorns this season.
