Gabby Agbonlahor loves the Baggies after West Brom beat Birmingham City
Ex-Aston Villa star Gabby Agbonlahor has celebrated the West Brom win over Birmingham City after Andi Weimann’s goal took the points at The Hawthorns.
Reacting on Twitter (3 February) following his criticism of the Daily Mail’s Tom Collomosse the pundit said he loves the Baggies, in the wake of the 1-0 victory.
New Albion attacker Weimann scored the only goal of the game on his second appearance for the club after arriving on loan from Bristol City in the January transfer window.
In reaction after the game Agbonlahor posted: “Love the Baggies! Boing Boing!!!”
Former Aston Villa man Weimann pulls it out for West Brom vs Birmingham
For a player with links to two local rivals it is certainly a quick way to go about settling in at The Hawthorns to score a late winner off the bench against a third.
Carlos Corberan’s side stay fifth, three points clear of Hull City, and get back to winning ways after the FA Cup defeat to Wolves last week.
It seems in some cases the enemy of my enemy is my friend for Agbonlahor as the long-time Aston Villa man celebrated one of his successors in Weimann being the difference for the Baggies against Birmingham.
Corberan has been forced to deal with depleted attacking forces throughout the season due to injuries but with three loanees arriving during the window he has been able to fill some gaps.

Now if Celtic’s Mikey Johnston and West Ham’s Callum Marshall can have a similar impact then things will be looking up for West Brom
There was however a distinct negative fallout from the game, with alleged racial abuse of Blues player Juninho Bacuna [Sky Sports, 3 February], which has put an unsavoury edge on the afternoon for the second home game running, but the result itself was a positive.
