West Brom transfer news: Contract update emerges on Yann M’Vila deal

French midfielder Yann M’Vila, who has played for Sunderland and Inter Milan in the past, is expected to join West Brom, according to Foot Mercato.

The news outlet reported on 9 February that the 33-year-old was wanted by a host of teams over the winter but did not end up joining them.

He is now in advanced talks with the Baggies and is expected to sign a short-term deal worth four months until the end of the season.

M’Villa to West Brom makes a lot of sense

Carlos Corberan admitted publically that he’s looking for a new midfielder and that an out-of-the-window deal was on the cards for the Baggies.

By the looks of it, the Frenchman who’s represented his country over 20 times, looks to be the final piece of the jigsaw for the season.

Without spending any money this term, Corberan has managed to rope in some shrewd deals and hopefully, they’re enough to get them to their targets for the season.

Finishing in the top six now appears to be the basic aim and they have to believe that they can secure qualification via the play-offs.

It’s not going to be easy, but nothing in professional football is and hopefully, getting someone with his experience and pedigree can make the difference.
