West Brom predicted XI v Cardiff City: Brandon Thomas-Asante call made

Carlos Corberan will want his West Brom side to return to winning ways v Cardiff City after a 2-2 draw against Ipswich Town on Saturday, 10 December.

The Baggies sit in the play-off spots but will aim to finish as high as they possibly can and give it a real go to return to the Premier League.

They are expected to be the favourites when they play host to Cardiff City on Tuesday, 13 February.

West Brom to return to winning ways at Hawthorns?

Kyle Bartley suffered a calf injury and had to be withdrawn against Ipswich so the chances of him starting this one are minuscule.

Nathaniel Chalobah came on for him with Okay Yokuslu moving into defence and Corberan is likely to continue with that.

The Turkey international impressed in an unfamiliar position and Chalobah is expected to partner Alex Mowatt in midfield.

John Swift, who’s now been returning to his pre-injury levels of fitness will be a danger in and around the opposition penalty area and could be given a start.

Brandon Thomas-Asante, who made just nine touches against Ipswich, could make way for Andreas Weimann, who was signed on loan in January and is capable of playing as a striker, having played the last game in the number 10 role.
