Jamie Carragher predicts West Brom vs Cardiff City result at The Hawthorns for Sky Sports
Jamie Carragher has predicted West Brom to bounce back from the late set back at Ipswich with a win at home to Cardiff City.
The Sky Sports pundit has tipped the Baggies to win 2-0 at The Hawthorns on 13 February in his picks for the broadcaster’s website.
Carlos Corberan’s side were pegged back late in stoppage time to draw 2-2 at Portman Road in a dramatic encounter at the weekend, but Carragher expects the Albion and their promotion rivals to all be successful midweek.
He said: “Leicester are storming the Championship and I’m not expecting them to slow down against Sheffield Wednesday, while I think Southampton, Leeds and West Brom will all register three points.”

Three points off the back of the trip to Ipswich would be ideal to avoid any wavering in the wake of another heartbreaking injury blow to Daryl Dike.
That result maintained an 11-point gap between the Baggies and Kieran McKenna’s men one place above in fourth, but the chasing pack behind are far closer.
Coventry and Sunderland are both just two points back on Coberan’s side with 47, albeit having played a game more, so maximum points against the 14th-placed Bluebirds are needed to avoid dropping down the table.
And with a tough clash against Southampton on Friday as part of a heavy sequence of three games in eight days, which ends with a long trip to Plymouth Argyle, this looks like the most simple assignment.

Dike’s absence and the possibility of Kyle Bartley also being unavailable haven’t helped in the slightest, but Corberan has managed to keep West Brom in contention all season so far despite injury problems being a constant.
