West Brom injury news: Doctor delivers Adam Reach update

West Brom midfielder Adam Reach may be having significant ligament damage which has ruled him out of action, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert has reacted to the six-week upper limit on his setback and believes that he may be out until March as well.

However, given Carlos Corberan’s comments, he does expect the 31-year-old back in training before the end of February.

Speaking exclusively with West Brom News about Reach’s situation, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said:

“Although the injury is being described as a knock, the timeline for four to six weeks signals something more severe – potentially significant ligament damage.

“Knocks are always vague as players can even recover from them with minutes but some can be nasty, ruling them out for weeks.

I don’t see him returning to full first-team training for another week or two and he may be out of first-team action until early March as well.

Even once he’s back, he’ll need at least two or three games off the bench before he’s at a 100 per cent again.

West Brom missing Reach’s versatility

The Englishman is someone who’s capable of playing in a plethora of roles and while he may not be Corberan’s go to starting option, he’s important to have on the bench.

He can play on the left side of defence, in central midfield, on the wings and up front as well so he’s in many ways the ideal backup option.

Hopefully, he does not have any complications with his injury and he’s ready to put in a shift for Baggies whenever called upon.
