West Brom: Tony Brown annoyed by what Cardiff City players did to Tom Fellows, ‘Strange’

Tony Brown questioned a “strange” development regarding West Brom ace Tom Fellows during the game with Cardiff City.

Fellows went down a couple of times in fairly quick succession during the first half of Tuesday’s (13 February) Championship clash.

However, referee Rebecca Welch did not award a free-kick in Albion’s favour, much to the surprise of supporters inside The Hawthorns.

“That’s a strange one,” Brown said on BBC Radio WM [13 February, 8:39pm]. “That’s twice Fellows has gone down claiming he’s been fouled, but the referee is having none of it.”

Tom Fellows impressing for West Brom

Given his ability to beat a player, Fellows always comes in for close attention from opponents.

The Albion academy product looked fairly lively in the first half against Cardiff, even if decisions did not always go his way.

Fellows picked out Mikey Johnston for West Brom’s breakthrough goal inside 60 seconds of the match on home soil.

He scored three goals in five matches heading into the showdown with Cardiff and has now made himself a regular on the teamsheet.

Albion fans have long known they have a real talent on their hands in Fellows, and the signing of a new contract recently was a huge boost.

Carlos Corberan will now be after more of the same from the midfielder, who continues to give opposition players a tough time of things – as seen again in the match with Cardiff.

In other West Brom news, Chris Lepkowski has raised a “problem” with regards to the takeover situation at The Hawthorns.
