West Brom discover information to complete Yann M’Vila signing, work permit still needed
West Brom discovered more information to complete the signing of Yann M’Vila this week, according to the Express & Star.
The publication reported on its website on Friday (16 February) that more information has been discovered about his visa and work permit.
The Express & Star added that Albion manager Carlos Corberan has confirmed that the signing process is starting to be in the last step, with M’Vila hopefully arriving at The Hawthorns “in the next week.”
His impending signing will represent the first of the Shilen Patel era after his 87.8% stake in the Championship club was confirmed.
West Brom bolstering their ranks
Corberan was quick to bolster his attacking options in the January transfer window, with Callum Marshall, Andi Weimann and Mikey Johnston all arriving at the club, all on loan.
And it seems they could now be joined by midfield ace Yann M’Vila, which is a necessary signing amid the long-term injury to Jayson Molumby.
The Republic of Ireland international has been a big miss at The Hawthorns, but Corberan is now closing in on a short-term replacement to try and help fill that gap.
It is, however, a big risk given that M’Vila has been without a club since last summer, with his last game coming with Olympiacos in May.
The manager does, however, know the player having worked with him at the Greek club, while his experience at the age of 33 should be very helpful as the Albion continue their promotion push.

Up next in that push is a very tricky test against Southampton, who visit The Hawthorns on Friday evening in a third versus fifth clash.
