West Brom: Shilen Patel footage shown on Sky Sports ahead of Southampton clash
Shilen Patel was filmed inside the stands at The Hawthorns ahead of West Brom v Southampton live on Sky Sports News (16 February).
It was confirmed the American-based businessman and his father have agreed a deal to acquire an 87.8 per cent stake in the Baggies from Guochuan Lai, with completion and exchange due to take place next week.
Patel was shown live on Sky Sports News prior to taking in West Brom’s Championship fixture against the high-flying Saints on Friday.

The news Baggies supporters have been waiting for for months (well, years in truth) was finally announced on Thursday (15 February) and just to prove it isn’t all a dream, Patel was shown arriving at The Hawthorns live on Sky Sports News.
The Lai era has been an incredibly torrid one for West Brom supporters, especially in the last couple of years when mounting debts led to huge concerns over the very existence of the football club.
But now a new dawn is upon us and Patel will be keen to get stuck in and prove that he is the man capable of steering the Albion ship back on course towards the Premier League.
It would be a very tasty cherry atop the cake if he could witness the start of his new era with an excellent win against a Southampton side going for promotion to the Premier League. Here’s hoping!
