West Brom: Adrian Chiles shares bizarre Taylor Swift and Kyle Bartley wish, ‘fine specimen’

Adrian Chiles has joked he would like to see Taylor Swift get into a relationship with Kyle Bartley to ensure West Brom are promoted.

Swift was front and centre of last week’s Super Bowl coverage due to the global megastar dating Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

The Chiefs’ success was credited to Swift, and celebrity West Brom fan Chiles would like to see a similar effect at The Hawthorns.

“Everything she touches, every song she writes, turns to gold,” Chiles wrote in his column for The Sun‘s print edition [16 February, page 15].

“And the same applies to whichever team she’s backing because she’s a winner and can do no wrong.

“I’m trying to get her together with a West Brom player, just for a fling until the end of season. I reckon Kyle Bartley would suit her nicely.

“He’s a fine specimen – any right-thinking woman would trade in her tight end for this centre half.

“And with Taylor’s backing, we’d be dead certs for promotion. It would be written in stone.”

Taylor Swift effect in full force

West Brom are looking good value to make the play-offs this season, even after a rare home loss at the hands of Southampton.

The 2-0 reverse on Friday (16 February) was hopefully nothing more than a minor blow, with the Baggies still well positioned in the table.

If Albion are to finish in the top six and go up via the play-offs, then Chiles may well be onto something regarding Swift.

With American business Shilen Patel now set to become chairman, maybe he can put in a few words?

West Brom

In all seriousness, finishing in the play-offs this season would be a massive achievement for Carlos Corberan’s men under tough circumstances.

Not many expected West Brom to be battling it out at the top end of the division prior to a ball being kicked last summer.

Taylor Swift or not, Albion will fancy their chances of earning promotion to the Premier League if they can get themselves over the dotted line and finish fifth or sixth.
