West Brom: Carlos Corberan touchline ban update for Plymouth Argyle after Southampton red card
Carlos Corberan is not set to be banned from the touchline for West Brom’s trip to Plymouth Argyle, according to Matt Maher.
The Express & Star journalist reported via Twitter on 20 February ahead of the Championship clash at Home Park that the Baggies boss is expected to be on the bench despite getting sent off against Southampton on Friday night.
Corberan was shown an early red card in front of the watching Shilen Patel for apparently controlling a ball that was still in play on 16 February.
Maher wrote: “For those asking, believe Carlos Corberan will be allowed on the touchline at Plymouth tonight. WBA boss got his second red card of the season during Friday’s defeat to Southampton.”

It is clearly a major boost to the Baggies as they look to bounce back from the deflating loss at home to have the manager on the touchline.
The demonstrative Spaniard has more of an influence close to the action than many and his players certainly looked like they needed his leadership during a strangely flat performance against the Saints.
It may be that the excitement of the takeover news 24 hours earlier had got to everyone, including Corberan.
But if the West Brom manager is available it will give the side a greater chance of picking up a much-needed three points in the play-off race.
Influential January loan signing Andi Weimann is also expected to be fit and available after remaining on the bench for 90 minutes due to illness last time out.
So perhaps the away trip can be a belated positive response to the news that Patel is coming in to end the Guochuan Lai era.
In other West Brom news, Adrian Goldberg explained his big “fear” for the Baggies after the takeover is completed.
