West Brom: Darnell Furlong among four players at risk of ban, he could miss two games

West Brom players will have to be careful to avoid picking up too many yellow cards through fear of a ban, with Darnell Furlong the most at risk of a two-game suspension.

As reported by Birmingham Live on 22 February, should Furlong pick up just one yellow card in his next four games, he will handed a two-match ban.

Any concern for accumulation of yellow cards will be removed after the 37th game of the season, against Huddersfield on 8 March, as the limit then rises to 15.

Other players named as risks for the upcoming games include Kyle Bartley, Okay Yokuslu and Cedric Kipre, who have seven cards to their name and would need to pick up three in their next four games to reach the threshold for punishment.

Pipa would be the most eligible backup for the full-back should Furlong land himself in hot water, as he arrived in the summer to provide strong competition to his teammate who, so far, has resisted any pressure.

The right-wing-back has received praise for his displays at The Hawthorns this season, proving to be one of the most consistent performers under Carlos Corberan as they continue their push for the playoffs.

If Furlong manages to resist receiving another yellow-card in his next four games, it will come as a huge boost to Albion, but Pipa may be secretly hoping for the change to finally prove himself in the first team at The Hawthorns.
