BBC One to air West Brom special on Saturday in latest episode of ‘Football and Me’ series
West Brom are set to the subject of a BBC One special in the latest addition of the broadcaster’s ‘Football and Me’ series on Football Focus, according to Richie Anderson.
The BBC presenter announced via his X account on Friday (23 February) that he will be presenting the segment on BBC One on Saturday (24 February) in the second instalment of the series following Tony Bellew’s Everton and me episode.
Anderson, who is a big Albion supporter, has spoken highly of The Hawthorns’ inclusivity and the acceptance that he feels from within the club and is expected to touch on similar topics when discussing what makes the Baggies special to him.
More good publicity for West Brom
There has been a feel-good feeling around The Hawthorns for the last week or so after it was announced Shilen Patel had agreed a takeover to become the controlling shareholder of West Brom and begin a new era.
That was quickly partnered with one of the Baggies’ best displays of the Championship season so far as they dominated from start to finish at Home Park to claim all three points against Plymouth Argyle in a 3-0 win.
Now, on national television, Anderson is set to share what makes the club so special from a supporters standpoint in another positive message out of The Hawthorns, a far cry from the unsavoury scenes witnessed in the FA Cup clash with Wolves.
Hopefully, at the same time, Carlos Corberan’s side will be able to continue their good work on the pitch when they make the trip to the MKM Stadium for what could be a season-defining clash with the Tigers on Saturday (24 February).
