Grady Diangana in 2/10 stinker, Darnell Furlong in MOTM 8/10 – West Brom player ratings v Hull
West Brom remain a point and a place ahead of Hull City in the Championship table after the clubs played out a 1-1 draw.
Fabio Carvalho opened the scoring for the hosts at the MKM Stadium on Saturday (24 February), with Darnell Furlong levelling for the visitors.
Here West Brom News rates the Baggies players out of 10 for their performances in the clash against Hull.
Alex Palmer – 6
The Baggies goalkeeper had some nervy moments with his feet, but more importantly he will have been disappointed by his efforts with his hands for Carvalho’s goal. He did, however, produce many important stops throughout the match.
Darnell Furlong – 8 (Man of the Match)
The defender impressed at the back at the MKM Stadium, but it was his efforts in the final third that caught the eye, with Furlong netting a superb first-half header.
Cedric Kipre – 6
The central defender had a tricky task in dealing with the pacey and direct attackers on the home side, but he often won his individual battles.
Erik Pieters – 7
Pieters can be very pleased with his efforts at the back, with the defender largely keeping the home forwards quiet.
Conor Townsend – 4
Townsend had to focus on a lot of defending in what was a busy afternoon for the full-back, who didn’t exactly often come out on top when face to face with his opponents.
Okay Yokuslu – 6
The midfielder was frustrated at the MKM Stadium at times, with the talented Hull players getting the better of him too often for the high standards that he has set himself.
Alex Mowatt – 6
Mowatt was once again impressive in midfield, with the Baggies man spot on with his tackling and passing as usual.
Grady Diangana – 2
Diangana struggled to make any real impact on the road, with Corberan certain to be disappointed with the winger’s display.

Mikey Johnston – 7
The Celtic loanee was a constant threat from the very first whistle at the MKM Stadium, with the attacker continuing his bright start to life at West Brom.
Tom Fellows – 6
Fellows was also quick and energetic in the final third, but it seemingly wasn’t enough for Corberan’s liking, with the talented Baggies attacker taking off just after the hour mark.
Jed Wallace – 4
Wallace almost found the back of the net early on with a clever effort that was kept out by the crossbar, in what was his only real moment of significance throughout the match, aside from his delivery for Furlong’s header.
Substitutions
Adam Reach (on for Fellows, 64′) – 6
The substitute came very close to winning the match for the visitors late on, only for his long-range strike to hit the post and bounce out.
Andi Weimann (on for Wallace, 69′) – N/A
John Swift (on for Diangana, 69′) – N/A
Semi Ajayi (on for Pieters, 84′) – N/A
Nathaniel Chalobah (on for Johnston, 84′) – N/A
