West Brom blasted by Don Goodman live on Sky Sports as ‘shocking record’ emerges v Hull City
West Brom have a “shocking record” when conceding first in the Championship this season, according to Sky Sports pundit Don Goodman.
The pundit shared the verdict after the Baggies went 1-0 down to Hull City at the MKM Stadium on Saturday (24 February).
As per Sky Sports Football (24 February), before the trip to the Tigers, the Albion had not won any of their 11 matches when conceding first, with two draws and nine defeats.
“It might surprise a few people, but that is a shocker isn’t it?” Goodman said live on Sky Sports Football (1.11pm, 24 February). “A shocking record when conceding the first goal.
“They really need something to change. You’d think with a really experienced group like that, it’s surprising that they’ve only managed to nick two draws.”
West Brom add draw to the pile v Hull City
West Brom manager Carlos Corberan will be very disappointed with the club’s record when conceding the first goal, with the Baggies adding another draw to the list after their equaliser against Hull.
Fabio Carvalho put the hosts ahead with a stunning strike in the 35th minute of the league clash at the MKM Stadium.
But the visitors managed to secure a hard-fought point thanks to Darnell Furlong’s leveller in the 43rd minute.
Corberan should be pleased after a difficult 90 minutes on the road, with the draw leaving the Baggies a place and a point ahead of the Tigers in the league table.
There was certainly a tense atmosphere in Hull, with neither club wanting to slip up in this important clash in the promotion race.

A draw was a fair result in the end, with the Albion moving up to 56 points ahead of their home meeting with Coventry.
