West Brom: Fans will be buzzing with Shilen Patel promise following takeover news
Shilen Patel has reassured West Brom fans that communication will always be key while he is the owner at The Hawthorns following the announcement of his takeover.
The new Baggies owner took to X on 28 February after the club announced the takeover via their official website, as well as some words from Patel following the announcement.
This update will come as a huge relief to West Brom supporters who had hardly heard a peep from former owner Guochuan Lai during his tenure.
Shilen Patel makes perfect start after West Brom takeover
With Albion fans understandably scarred by the previous ownership, hopes are high for the start of Patel’s era, and the promise made to the supporters upon his arrival will be the perfect way to get them onside from the word go.
As well as a lack of communication with the fans, it appears Lai was also absent when it comes to the managers too, after Steve Bruce revealed recently that he had no contact with the previous owner during his time at The Hawthorns.
Already it appears as if Patel understands what the Albion supporters want and need from their owner – pretty much the opposite to Lai – and is keen on delivering that to the fans.
Just hours after the takeover was announced, fans will already be dreaming of a bright future at The Hawthorns, with Patel pulling all the right strings and making all the right promises to the supporters – and long may it continue.
