West Brom injury news: Doctor issues Jayson Molumby end-of-season update
West Brom midfielder Jayson Molumby is unlikely to be back in action before the start of May, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that the Republic of Ireland international required surgery but it was not on the ligaments.
He got a foot injury which he suffered back in January and there was no alternative but to undergo an operation, per Express and Star.
Speaking exclusively with West Brom News about Molumby’s situation, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said: “He’s had surgery and it’s difficult to say what the process of the surgery was but all we know is that it wasn’t ligaments.
“That leaves many options open.
“Regardless, it is a significant one that keeps him out for the mid to long term.
“I would give this until the start of May when he’s back in contention so I’d say it’s highly unlikely to see him play again this season.“
Injuries galore at West Brom
The Baggies have a number of injury worries this season with Martin Kelly too suffering a fresh setback.
There are concerns about Conor Townsend also having a hamstring injury and the club are playing it by ear.
With regards to Molumby, it remains to be seen just how significant his injury is and whether or not he’ll be able to return before the end of the campaign.

He made 24 league appearances this season and was the sort of player who featured in most games, either from the start or off the bench.
In other West Brom news, a £1.58billion claim has emerged as Shilen Patel completes the takeover to become the new Baggies chairman.
