Jamie Carragher predicts scoreline for QPR v West Brom at Loftus Road for Sky Sports
Jamie Carragher has predicted West Brom will narrowly beat QPR in Wednesday’s (6 March) Championship clash at Loftus Road.
The Baggies beat Coventry City 2-1 last Friday (1 March) to consolidate their grip on fifth place with 11 games of the regular season to go.
Not since late December have West Brom won successive league matches, but Carragher expects that to change in midweek.
The former Liverpool defender went with a 2-1 win for Albion in his predictions for Sky Sports’ Super 6.
Loftus Road trip poses problems for West Brom
West Brom may not have won successive matches in 2024, but they have done enough to ensure the chasing pack have been kept at bay.
They enter this match on a good run, too, as wins over Plymouth Argyle and Coventry sandwiched a positive point in a 1-1 draw at Hull City.
Carlos Corberan would have considered this trip to West London a good chance to get three more points on the board not so long ago.
However, the Rs have won three in a row, most recently beating leaders Leicester City 2-1 on their travels last time out.

The Baggies have lost just one of their past nine league games against QPR – a 1-0 defeat in January 2022, with Charlie Austin netting.
A point on this most recent visit would surely be a welcome result ahead of a trip to fellow strugglers Huddersfield Town next weekend.
Should the Baggies take four points from those two fixtures, they will enter the final international break of the season in a very strong position.
In other West Brom news, Shilen Patel took to Twitter to react to a “great” development involving the Baggies on Sunday (3 March).
