West Brom: Doctor reacts as Daryl Dike tipped for summer transfer

Daryl Dike is not expected to be fit in time to seal an exit from West Brom in the summer, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert has reacted to a verdict shared by Carlton Palmer who has criticised the lack of availability of the United States international.

While that’s not been ideal, a summer exit does not seem likely as he is going to be out for the majority of 2024.

Speaking exclusively with West Brom News about Dike’s situation, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said: “I can understand what Palmer is saying – availability is the best ability.

Difficult for me to say whether his fitness has been handled correctly or not because I’m not privy to any details.

He is expected to be injured for the next seven months virtually ruling him out for the rest of the year.

I don’t see him being fit in time to be in contention for a summer move so I don’t see that part of the argument.

Daryl Dike to stay at West Brom beyond the summer

It is highly unlikely that any club would want to sign an injured player or him even wanting the move.

The West Brom medical staff will also be primarily focused on ensuring that he’s back to full fitness within no time.

It remains to be seen whether or not the United States international returns to his pre-injury levels as he’s certainly a force to be reckoned with in case he does.
