West Brom: Chinese national Yukai Sun appointed as new director of WBA Holdings
Chinese national Yukai Sun has been appointed as a new director of West Bromwich Albion Holdings.
The development was confirmed on the Companies House website on Tuesday (5 March) after American businessman Shilen Patel acquired Guochuan Lai’s 87.8 per cent shareholding in the Baggies on 28 February.
A further update was provided that shows WBA Holdings’ address has also moved from The Hawthorns to an address in Solihull.
What could WBA Holdings update mean for West Brom?
Essentially, nothing.
Patel doesn’t have anything to do with West Bromwich Albion Holdings, which still has former Albion chief Li Piyue listed as a director alongside Sun.

It is slightly strange that WBA Holdings’ address has been moved to a cul-de-sac in Solihull, but it shouldn’t have any impact on operations at the club.
There has been a lot of positivity around The Hawthorns since Patel’s takeover was confirmed and he’ll be looking to ensure that continues in their pursuit of promotion this season.
