Lewis Cox explains West Brom Holdings mystery after Companies House update emerged
Lewis Cox has explained that the ongoing situation with West Brom Holdings is completely separate from the club despite concern in the last 24 hours.
The Express & Star journalist reported via his X account that the group was merely a holding account for Yunyi and Guochuan Lai, the same way Bilkul Football WBA is now after Shilen Patel’s takeover.
This has emerged after Chinese national Yukai Sun had been named as the new director of the holding company, as shown by official documents on Companies House.
Any concern over West Brom Holdings can now be eased
Fans were concerned when the change to documents was spotted, perhaps understandably given the situation the club was in under Lai, but with any of those worries now being cleared up, we await the future changes to the ownership model.
West Brom Holdings, as things stand, will change its name in due course to avoid any association with the club following the takeover, which also explains the changes in director and its registered location, which moved from The Hawthorns to an address in Solihull.
The future is looking bright at The Hawthorns under Shilen Patel with plenty of positives to be taken from the early days of his ownership after strong promises were made to the fans upon his arrival.
Any concern that may have lingered after the Lai era at West Brom can be dismissed in favour of looking forward to what the future may bring under Patel’s stewardship and what Carlos Corberan can help the team achieve this season.
In other West Brom news, Corberan is set for face-to-face talks with Patel in London.
