Lewis Cox shares why Kyle Bartley omitted from West Brom squad v QPR
Lewis Cox has shared why Kyle Bartley has been omitted from the West Brom squad for the game against Queens Park Rangers on Wednesday (6 March).
After the Baggies confirmed the 32-year-old hasn’t been included in the side, the Express & Star journalist tweeted that he believes the centre-back has picked up a knock.
Conor Townsend also misses out at Loftus Road with a hamstring injury, while new signing Yann M’Vila has been included on the bench for the first time since making the move to The Hawthorns.
Kyle Bartley presence a miss for West Brom against QPR
There is no doubt that Bartley will be a miss around the West Brom squad against QPR, even though there is a chance he might not have started the game.
While he was only brought on as a substitute in the 2-1 victory over Coventry City on 1 March, the centre-back’s experience was invaluable in helping his side pick up the three points.
Carlos Corberan will be confident that Cedric Kipre and Erik Pieters can do a job again at Loftus Road after starting together against the Sky Blues.
It could be a tricky game for Albion as the West Londoners come into the fixture on the back of three straight victories in their fight against relegation this season.
But the Baggies manager will be confident that his side have more than enough quality to pick up a positive result to provide their promotion bid with a further boost.
In other West Brom news, Corberan has raved about what a Baggies chief has done behind the scenes.
