West Brom: Andy Gray blown away by what happened v Huddersfield Town as footage shared

Andy Gray was astonished by the quality of the goal scored by Okay Yokuslu as West Brom recovered to see off Huddersfield Town.

Yokuslu scored the goal of the game in Sunday’s (10 March) Championship contest at the John Smith’s Stadium to put Albion 3-1 up from a goal behind.

Albion went on to win 4-1 to consolidate their grip on fifth place, but it was Yokuslu’s strike that garnered the most attention live on beIN SPORTS.

“Yokuslu does this. Oh wow,” Gray said [10 March, 3:11pm] when footage of the goals were played back.

Co-host Richard Keys added: “That’s as sweet a strike as you’ll ever see.”

Footage of the goal was later shared by Sky Sports Football on Twitter [10 March].

Okay Yokuslu scores glorious goal against Huddersfield Town

Albion looked well off it in the first half against lowly Huddersfield, with Delano Burgzorg giving the hosts a one-goal advantage at the interval.

Whatever Carlos Corberan said at the midway point clearly worked, though, as the Baggies recovered superbly in the second period.

Mikey Johnston continued his superb start to life at The Hawthorns with a couple of goals, sandwiching efforts from Yokuslu and Kyle Bartley.

The quality of Yokuslu’s strike was out of this world, as the midfielder put his foot through the ball from over 25 yards out.

Had the net not been there, the ball may well have gone right through the stand and out the other end.

That third goal of the afternoon for West Brom gave them some breathing space and ensured this feel-good factor remains alive and well.

It was not always pretty, but the full-time result is as good as anyone could have wished for and the play-offs are now in touching distance.
