West Brom: Keilan Quinn confirms he’s quit Albion amid Aston Villa transfer update

Keilan Quinn has now confirmed on social media that he has left West Brom ahead of his move to Aston Villa.

The 16-year-old posted several pictures of himself in a Baggies kit on Instagram on Monday (11 March), where he thanked the club for helping him progress over the past few years and said it’s “time for the next chapter”.

It comes as The Secret Scout tweeted on Tuesday (12 March) that Villa are set to complete the signing of the midfielder from their West Midlands rivals.

The news that Quinn has left West Brom and is set to join Villa will be incredibly disappointing for the club as he follows in the footsteps of several youngsters to have made the move to Villa Park.

It’s understandable that they would want to make the switch as it’s an opportunity to develop at a state-of-the-art facility under Premier League coaches.

But there is no doubt that Albion would like to see some of their biggest talents continue their journey at The Hawthorns and go on to become first-team players.

It does look like they are set to receive a healthy transfer fee for Quinn, though, after The Athletic reported on 1 February that the two clubs had agreed a seven-figure deal for the teenage midfielder.

He will now be hoping to continue with his development at Villa Park to potentially nail down a place in their first team further down the line.
