West Brom injury news: Doctor issues Daryl Dike update

West Brom striker Daryl Dike may be back in individual training by November or December, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that in case he’s on track to return from his Achilles rupture before the end of the year, those are the months the medical staff will be looking at.

However, as he’s had surgery in February, it is still to soon to make any projections as to where he is in terms of his recovery.

Speaking exclusively with West Brom News about Dike’s situation, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said:

“He ruptured his ACL and had to have surgery last month so that ruled him out for nearly the rest of the year.

“If everything goes to plan and he’s able to return end of 2024, then I would suspect he’s in individual training about two weeks prior to returning to partial team training so sometime in November or December perhaps.

“It’s really hard to project out that far, however.”

Dike will have another season to prove his worth to West Brom

Dike was only returning from a long-term injury and appeared to be back in contention around Christmas time.

After a few games off the bench, there was a chance that Carlos Corberan could slowly look to him as a potential regular starter.

It remains to be seen in what shape he returns next season as two back-to-back long-term injuries will have taken their toll.

He will also not be leaving as suggested by some pundits as he is in no condition to pass a medical.
