West Brom injury news: Doctor issues Josh Maja update

West Brom attacker Josh Maja could be out for the rest of the season if he suffers an injury setback, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that in case there are problems with his rehab, he may not be back before May.

However, he is expected to make his training return during the international break, having been ruled out with an ankle injury.

Speaking exclusively with West Brom News about Maja’s situation, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said:

“The best case scenario is that he’s back after the international break which would align with his initial timeline.

“The worst case is that he suffers a setback and potentially misses the rest of the season.

“If he’s returned to training and is undergoing training at full intensity during the international break, then he’ll be close to 100 per cent on the other side of it.”

Maja will want more West Brom first-team minutes as he returns from injury

Maja moved to the Hawthorns on a three-year deal over the summer but has not enjoyed the best possible start to life at his new club.

He’s struggled to get game time as well, making just one league start all season with his other eight off the bench.
