West Brom Academy stars will be inspired as Carlos Corberan sends Tom Fellows message
West Brom Academy youngsters will continue to be inspired by Tom Fellows’ development after what Carlos Corberan said about the 20-year-old at The Hawthorns.
The boss revealed his intention to help Fellows take the next steps in his career and continue his rapid development after his recent England under-20 call-up.
Such high levels of support for a young player, with the whole club pushing him to be the best he can be at The Hawthorns, provides a promising insight to anybody looking to reach the same stage.
Speaking to the Express & Star [21 March], Corberan shared: “It’s the first time that he has received the call and it’s a reward for him. It’s certainly an important step for his career.
“For me, Tom Fellows is a player who can improve even more and we’re going to keep working with him to help him achieve the maximum level of improvement.”
Tom Fellows provides clear path to follow at West Brom
Fellows has provided a shining light of what is possible for the young players in the academy to achieve, and with the guidance and support of the manager, there are plenty of positives to be taken from the winger’s development.
The academy players at West Brom have received plenty of encouragement lately at all levels, with under-21 manager Richard Beale joining Corberan in his assessment that the players could be set to take a step up into first-team football.
Any player in the West Brom Academy who was looking to find their way into the first team in the coming months, even years, will have been inspired by the manager’s comment with a clear pathway becoming evident at The Hawthorns.

It will also serve as hope to Baggies players currently on loan that if the pathway is there to make an impact on the first team at The Hawthorns, they will be afforded the chance in the future.
