West Brom apologise as Leicester City delay emerges in new development

West Brom have apologised to fans after delays to the sale of tickets for the Championship away fixture against Leicester at the King Power, as shared via their official website.

Albion confirmed that further details will be shared at the earliest possible opportunity, apologising for any inconvenience caused to the travelling supporters.

The visit to the King Power on 20 April could be key for both clubs’ seasons, with Carlos Corberan’s side hoping to qualify for the playoffs while Leicester are looking to win the title.

West Brom currently sit fifth in the Championship and will hope to remain in that position until the end of the season, which would earn them a shot at promotion via the playoffs, meaning every game between now and then is crucial.

Travelling supporters will want to lend their voices to back the team in what will likely prove to be a difficult fixture away from home.

A fifth-placed finish would be a huge success for the Albion this season given their difficult summer and expectations coming into it, and their performances have certainly earned them a shot at promotion.

Given the form of Leicester, Leeds, Southampton and Ipswich this season, however, they will likely have to settle for a playoff place, although it is likely they come up against at least one of those four top teams in the process.

Kieran Maguire recently explained the benefits of reaching the playoffs for Albion, with a sizeable financial windfall coming their way should they qualify, and that will be a welcome bonus at The Hawthorns after a turbulent year.
