West Brom: David Prutton predicts result of showdown v Millwall for Sky Sports

West Brom and Carlos Corberan will be unable to stretch their winning run in the Championship to three matches when they face Millwall on Friday 29 March, according to David Prutton.

The Sky Sports presenter doesn’t believe that the Baggies will be able to build on their comfortable 2-0 win over Bristol City ahead of the March international break, predicting that Millwall will hold Albion to a 1-1 draw.

Neil Harris has overseen an upturn in form since arriving at The Den for a second spell as manager, with his only defeat coming against Leeds United last time out and Prutton expects the home side to make things tough for Corberan’s Baggies.

A win would massively boost Albion’s hopes of confirming their place in the top six this term, but a draw would still be a step in the right direction as they currently sit eight points clear of eighth-placed Hull City.

Will West Brom reach the Championship playoffs under Carlos Corberan this season?

Albion didn’t even have to get out of second gear as they waltzed to an impressive win against Bristol City and that result will have given them immense confidence that they can do the same again against Millwall.

Since Harris arrived at The Den, they have been better and typically hard to break down, but Leeds showed that if you apply enough pressure, there are gaps to exploit. West Brom just have to flex their attacking muscles.

West Brom boss Carlos Corberan

Hopefully, the attacking talent in the Baggies’ group will show what they’re about and the likes of Mikey Johnston, Brandon Thomas-Asante and Tom Fellows will pick up where they left off to match or even better Prutton’s prediction.

If Albion claim all three points at The Den on Good Friday, it will be a massive statement to the teams around them that they have to be taken seriously in this playoff race this season. They are not there to simply make up the numbers with the top four.
