West Brom: Ethan Ingram transfer update emerges at The Hawthorns, exit on cards

West Brom loanee Ethan Ingram has been labelled one to watch in the summer transfer window amid interest from League One clubs, according to Dan Marsh.

The Mirror journalist reported via his X account on 25 March that the right-back, currently on loan at Salford, is out of contract at the end of the season and could be snapped up if Albion let him go.

Ingram, an England Under-20 international, has impressed during his loan spell and League One clubs are readying moves if he does become available.

Ethan Ingram could quit West Brom for good this summer

With no progress made towards a contract extension for the 20-year-old despite his impressive season out on loan, the interest in his signature from elsewhere suggests Albion may be leaning towards not offering a new deal.

However, it is a similar case with several first-team players at the club, including the likes of Cedric Kipre and Alex Mowatt who are expected to sign new deals, but the behind-the-scenes issues regarding the takeover had seen further delays.

Now that Shilen Patel has completed his acquisition of the club, contract offers are expected to be high on the agenda, with the aforementioned first-team stars likely to be top of the list before getting to the likes of Ingram.

Given the rapid rise of Tom Fellows since his return from a loan spell with League Two Crawley, some at The Hawthorns may consider Ingram the next off of that particular conveyor belt, and they will not want to regret letting him go.

In other West Brom news, Richard Beale was stunned by a meeting with Patel.
