This latest achievement at The Hawthorns will be a proud moment for everybody at Albion from the first team to those directly involved with the community events, and should serve as a source of pride for their work.

It also serves as a display that, despite the uncertainty and frustration behind the scenes at the club in the last year, their role in the community and outreach to supporters in the local area has been as strong as ever. That’s what the club is all about.

Carlos Corberan has also spoken out at times this season about the connection the fans have with the club and the players, and the award from the EFL is proof of all of the good work Albion does away from just the football.

Since the takeover by Shilen Patel, the new owner has been extremely vocal about his willingness to maintain a strong relationship and connection with the fans, promising to maintain communication as the club now looks to further their impact.
