West Brom: Shilen Patel to jet in for Millwall and Watford clashes after Carlos Coberan chat
Shilen Patel is set to jet into England to watch West Brom face Millwall at The Den and Watford at The Hawthorns over Easter weekend, according to the Express & Star.
The newspaper reported via its website on 28 March that the new Baggies owner will fly into London ahead of the game at The Den before his family join him for the Watford clash.
Carlos Corberan, meanwhile, confessed he had remained in discussions with Patel during the international break over some important topics following the takeover.
This comes after Corberan told the newspaper: “Yes we had the possibility to keep talking a little bit in detail, some things we consider important, but of course private things, but we had a contact.”
Shilen Patel to jet in for West Brom v Millwall and Watford
Patel has already witnessed two games live since taking over at The Hawthorns as he was in attendance for the defeat to Southampton at home and the 2-2 draw with QPR at Loftus Road – and he will be hoping to see two wins this time around.
This trend continues to be another positive for Albion supporters, with the owner showing an abundance of interest in the team and getting to matches as frequently as his time allows.
Currently sitting in the playoff places, the Baggies will be keen to keep up their form this season to put themselves in with a chance of promotion to the Premier League, using their owner’s presence to spur on their performances.

If a playoff place turned into promotion then West Brom then it will of course be particularly lucrative for West Brom and it would be a sensational way to end the first few months of Patel’s reign.
