West Brom predicted XI v Watford: Andi Weimann dropped, two others to make way at The Hawthorns

Carlos Corberan will no doubt be tempted to make changes to his West Brom starting line-up for the showdown with Watford on Monday (1 April).

The contest comes three days on from a 1-1 draw away at Millwall in which Albion were never at their best yet came away with a creditable point.

Given the quick turnaround in games, and the underperformance of some at The Den, it is highly unlikely the same XI will go again versus Watford.

One player that looks set to make way is Andi Weimann after being handed a start in three of Albion’s past eight matches, without doing much in a lot of those.

Should Austria international Weimann make way, Brandon Thomas-Asante or Tom Fellows could get the nod in attack – or indeed both, with Fellows used out wide.

That would mean Jed Wallace making way after an ineffective performance against Millwall, with Grady Diangana then used more centrally.

Mikey Johnston, who has been superb since arriving from Celtic on loan in January, is a certainty to start on the left-hand side assuming he is fit.

Alex Mowatt and Okay Yokuslu could retain their spots in central midfield, even if other are pushing for inclusion against the Hornets.

A third change may come in defence, where Erik Pieters will be hoping to get the nod over Kyle Bartley alongside Cedric Kipre, with Conor Townsend and Darnell Furlong in the full-back slots.

That then leaves Alex Palmer as the obvious choice between the sticks as Albion look to keep a clean sheet and register another victory.
