West Brom: Carlos Corberan has to start Grady Diangana v Stoke City after what he did

After two assists in just over 20 minutes against Watford, Grady Diangana is deserving of a West Brom start for the visit of Stoke City this weekend (6 April).

At The Hawthorns, the Baggies found themselves down by two goals and the game turned as a triple change was made by Carlos Corberan.

This saw Adam Reach, Yann M’Vila and Diangana enter the fray and it was the latter who made the game-changing impact.

Albion came away with a 2-2 draw with the English forward getting two assists for Brandon Thomas-Asante and Darnell Furlong to rescue a point.

Does Grady Diangana deserve a West Brom start v Stoke?

Diangana has had an up-and-down campaign but has managed to accumulate 14 goal involvements across 24 starts [FotMob].

The Baggies boast a whole range of attacking talents which were only added to in January with Mikey Johnson and Andi Weimann’s loan moves.

Throw in youthful talents like Tom Fellows and experienced heads Tom Swift and Jed Wallace, Albion have plenty going forward.

With that being said, against the Hornets there was a quiet nature about the front line which saw them register fewer shots than the visitors.

Corberan rolled the dice on Diangana and it worked to great effect. According to FotMob, he registered 100% dribble success, four passes into the final third and two assists.

Compare this to Fellows and Johnson who only managed four passes into the final third between them in across 71 and 84 minutes respectively.

For the away trip to Stoke, after a positive impact last time out, there are fair grounds to say that Diangana deserves a start.
