Carlos Corberan to drop John Swift in three changes – West Brom predicted XI v Sunderland
Carlos Corberan could decide to drop John Swift from his starting lineup for the West Brom game against Sunderland on Saturday (13 April).
The 28-year-old registered Albion’s second goal from the penalty spot in their 2-0 victory over Rotherham United on Wednesday (10 April).
But as the Baggies manager has been rotating his attacking options over the past few weeks, the English attacking midfielder could drop to the bench against the Black Cats at The Hawthorns.
Corberan is predicted to make three changes to his starting lineup on Saturday, with some of his first-team players likely to return to the fold after being rested against the Millers.
Alex Palmer is expected to start again in goal, where he would be hoping to add to the 17 clean sheets he’s recorded so far this season.
After cementing his place in the side with some solid performances this year, Darnell Furlong is likely to continue in his role at right-back.
Cedric Kipre could once again be in line to partner Kyle Bartley in the heart of the defence after the duo have built up a strong partnership in recent months.
Having been rested against Rotherham in midweek, Conor Townsend is likely to return at left-back, meaning Adam Reach could have to settle for a place on the bench.

Okay Yokuslu has had another impressive campaign in the middle of the park for the Baggies and he is expected to start against Sunderland.
He could be partnered by Alex Mowatt in central midfield after he was also rested for the victory over the Millers, leaving Yann M’Vila to take up a place on the bench against his old side on Saturday.
The attacking positions are where it gets a little bit tricky, given that Corberan has opted for a variety of different combinations over the past couple of months.

With Jed Wallace sitting out the game against Rotherham through illness, Tom Fellows may continue on the right-hand side of the attack as doubts still remain over the Albion captain.
Although Swift did get on the scoresheet on Wednesday, he is predicted to make way for Grady Diangana, who has made some vital goal contributions in recent weeks.
Mikey Johnston is expected to start on the left wing after making himself almost undroppable since joining the Baggies on loan from Celtic in the January transfer window.
That could leave Brandon Thomas-Asante to once again lead the line against the Black Cats, where he would be hoping to build upon his goal last time out.
