West Brom hailed over management of Cedric Kipre injury after what Carlos Corberan said
Cedric Kipre’s recent injury has been managed well by West Brom, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
Kipre, 27, missed Albion’s 2-2 draw with Watford on 1 April after sustaining a shoulder injury on Good Friday in the 1-1 stalemate away at Millwall.
Carlos Corberan confirmed that the Baggies wanted to let the centre-back heal naturally instead of giving him any painkillers to get through the Championship clash with the Hornets.
Kipre has since returned to the starting line-up to complete 90 minutes against Stoke City on 6 April before playing just over an hour against Rotherham on Wednesday night (10 April) before being substituted and replaced by Semi Ajayi.
Injury expert Dr Brar claims that while Kipre might not yet be feeling 100 per cent, Albion made the right call with how they handled the situation.
West Brom brilliantly handle Cedric Kipre injury
Speaking exclusively with West Brom News, the physical therapy specialist and sports scientist said: “It sounds like West Brom’s patience with him and not giving him a pain-killing injection to mask the issue and continue treatment paid off.
“I’m not sure if he’s 100 per cent but it sounds like he’s close enough to be able to manage a full match.
“He could be there if he gets another 90 minutes in his belt and that might happen this weekend [against Sunderland] as there’s no reason to not start him in back-to-back games in the same week.“

Kipre has been a reliable stalwart in defence for Corberan’s side this season and has been called into action whenever fit.
He has made 40 appearances in the league term and upon his return to action, he’s helped win a point away at Stoke before keeping a clean sheet in the 2-0 win over Rotherham at The Hawthorns.
