West Brom: Finance Expert reacts to Leicester and Sheffield Wednesday ticket delays
Dan Plumley has insisted that the delayed release of away tickets for West Brom fans at Leicester and Sheffield Wednesday should not affect sales.
The football finance expert did sympathise with fans as it will likely make travel plans harder at the last minute, but with a playoff spot up for grabs, demand should remain high.
West Brom currently sit fifth in the Championship with a nine-point buffer to seventh, with trips to Leicester and Sheffield to follow the home game against Sunderland next up.
“I don’t think it would affect sales,” he exclusively told West Brom News.
“If you focus on the Sheffield Wednesday game coming up, as an example, that could be a game for West Brom that maybe cements a playoff spot, so there is lots riding on these games, for both clubs given the other end of the table.
“I think all things considered, it’s unlikely to impact sales, it is not great for fans, I completely get that argument and sometimes you don’t see the need for these things to be delayed and it doesn’t make sense from a fan’s point of view.
“It does then mean that travel plans and things have to be considered, train fares may go up, how do you get there? I just get the sense, and this is not right where we are at the minute, despite all of these things that clubs do sometimes, the fans will still buy the tickets.”

West Brom want return to the Premier League
With so much on the line across the next six weeks, the Baggies faithful will be travelling up and down.
If results go their way on Saturday 13 April, that playoff spot could be secured before the away games, with Shilen Patel liking what he has seen recently at The Hawthorns against Rotherham.
In other West Brom news, Don Goodman believes Albion will have to go down a similar route to Nottingham Forest if they are promoted to the Premier League.
