West Brom: Tony Brown slams Grady Diangana after ‘incredible’ incident in loss v Leicester

Tony Brown has slammed Grady Diangana after he missed a huge chance for West Brom in the second half of their defeat to Leicester City on Saturday (20 April).

Speaking on BBC Radio WM on Saturday (via BBC Sport), the pundit said the DR Congo international “missed a sitter” as he steered his effort past the post from point-blank range when the Foxes were 1-0 up.

He added that it was “incredible” how many chances the Baggies missed during the game, with Jed Wallace’s late effort not enough to prevent his side from falling to a 2-1 defeat at the King Power Stadium.

“Grady Diangana’s missed a sitter again,” said Brown. “I don’t know how he’s put it wide. He’s kicked the air in frustration, put his head in his hands. That’s the best chance of the game and they’ve had some good ones.

“I can’t believe what I’m seeing here. It’s incredible the chances missed – I’ve never seen so many in a game.”

Grady Diangana had to score for West Brom against Leicester

It was a poor miss from Diangana as he got on the end of a superb ball across the six-yard box from right-back Darnell Furlong before his effort went narrowly wide of the post.

The 25-year-old should really have done better from that position in what was a crucial point in the game at the start of the second half.

It came just moments after the winger had failed to find the back of the net from a couple of yards out when the ball bounced at his feet quickly after coming back off the crossbar.

It was a decent performance from the Baggies as they created numerous chances throughout the game, but they lacked composure in the final third.

Carlos Corberan will be looking for his side to get back to winning ways heading into the playoffs after Albion have now gone a couple of games without a victory.
