Okay Yokuslu rejects chance to quit West Brom after transfer meeting

Okay Yokuslu has rejected the chance to quit West Brom for Trabzonspor, according to Hakan Yoloğlu.

The Trabzon-based journalist for Serbert Vurus reported via his personal X account (29 May) that the midfielder wants to continue his career in Europe.

Yokuslu had been a target for Trabzonspor, with Sports Digitale reporting via X (27 May) that the Turkish club held transfer meetings with the player last summer and during January.

But this latest update suggests the 30-year-old is not keen on returning to Turkey.

West Brom supporters will be delighted by Okay Yokuslu decision

This is a much-needed boost for the Baggies and Carlos Corberan.

Yokuslu is a fan favourite at The Hawthorns, and supporters will be delighted to know that he is keen on staying with the club.

It has been a tough few weeks for the Baggies.

After missing out on promotion to the Premier League, they were forced to say goodbye to Mikey Johnston, and have now had to put up with rumours that Corberan might leave.

With all of the uncertainty surrounding the club, news that Yokuslu is set to stay put will bring with it a sense of optimism.

The Baggies will be keen to make another promotion push next season, and Yokuslu could prove key to their efforts.

Having recently turned 30, some supporters might have feared that the midfielder would be tempted by a move back to his native country.

But it appears that there is still a chapter left to write in Yokuslu’s West Brom story.

In other West Brom news, the club could regret their decision to let one player go.
