
West Brom fans shatter 2023 season ticket sales numbers on opening day
West Brom supporters have outdone themselves on the first day of season ticket sales for 2024/25 at The Hawthorns, according to BirminghamLive reporter Joe Chapman.
Chapman’s post on X [30 May] states that Baggies fans almost doubled their total season tickets sold from last year, and recorded their best first day of sales in a decade.
Despite Championship play-off semi-final heartbreak, Albion’s fanbase are keen to get back behind their team in the hope of achieving promotion next time around – and they’ll be particularly hoping it’s Carlos Corberan who will be applauding the crowd come August.
West Brom crowd keen to return to The Hawthorns
Despite potential instability surrounding the playing squad and Corberan’s future in the West Midlands, West Brom fans are certainly already in high spirits to snap up their seat for next season.
The club also deserve an immense helping of credit – they have continued their ‘Kids for a Quid’ campaign which allows supporters under 17 to purchase a season ticket for just £23 in all four sides of The Hawthorns.
Social media communication has also been praised by the support base this week, after West Brom posted clarification of their non-attendance check system, in a bid to keep their fans looked after.
Albion boasted well over 18,000 season ticket holders last year, with fans filling an average of 89.3% of the stadium’s capacity throughout home league fixtures in 2023-24.
Shilen Patel and the West Brom board are certainly seeking to ensure the supporters are onside heading into the new season, which can provide a lot of ammunition as it filters through to the players on the pitch – whoever those players may be at this early stage.
