West Brom youngster Reyes Cleary has been given one final opportunity to impress Carlos Corberan following a cruel 2023/24 campaign.

The 20-year-old forward experienced a disastrous campaign, missing much of the season through another serious hamstring injury, managing just two appearances for West Brom Under-21s.

However, it is not all doom and gloom for the young centre-forward, who has been given one final chance to shine at The Hawthorns ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.

With the club announcing their retained list [22 May], Cleary is one of several young stars offered a new contract. Considering his injury record, that will be a sigh of relief.

While the 20-year-old is such a talented player, his injuries will be a major concern for Corberan, and the young star must prove that he can be trusted and depended upon by the Baggies.

Reyes Cleary handed final chance to impress at West Brom

Though Cleary managed just two appearances this season, all fans have to do is look back to last season when the striker was firing in goals for fun.

He notched 16 goals and three assists in 12 Premier League 2 matches, earning himself five call-ups to the senior team throughout the campaign, even managing an hour against Chesterfield in the FA Cup.

There are absolutely no doubts over Cleary's talent and potential, though injuries could be what end his time at The Hawthorns if he is unable to kick on next season.

The contract extension provides him with just enough time to argue his case, hopefully, become a regular figure in the first team, and stay with the squad rather than drift away and become consumed by injury.

With several confirmed exits this summer, there should be enough room in Corberan's squad ahead of the 2024/25 campaign, leaving Cleary with an incredible opportunity to impress.

This could be his final chance.
