Ethan Ingram could quit The Hawthorns as West Brom transfer news emerges
Ethan Ingram could decide to quit West Brom and leave The Hawthorns behind.
It looks set to be a summer of change for West Brom.
While the club’s main priority will no doubt be keeping hold of Carlos Corberan, they will also be anxiously awaiting the decisions of a few players as well.
The most high-profile of those is Cedric Kipre, with Fabrizio Romano reporting via Instagram (20 June) that Ipswich Town are keen on signing the defender.
Kipre has been offered a new contract with the club but is yet to make a decision.
However, he is not the only player mulling over his various options.
As reported by Mirror journalist Dan Marsh via X (19 June), Ingram has been offered a new contract by the Baggies but also has interest from clubs in EFL League One and Scotland.
And the 21-year-old has yet to decide where his future lies.
Will Ethan Ingram reject West Brom contract offer and quit The Hawthorns?
It is no surprise that Ingram has attracted some attention from across England and Scotland.
The right-back spent last season on loan with Salford City and started 19 matches in League One.
He scored one goal, provided one assist, and put in some impressive displays along the way.
As per Sofascore, in the 2-2 draw with Swindon Town (21 October 2023), Ingram got himself on the scoresheet, played one key pass, completed 100 per cent of his dribbles and won five of his six ground duels.
His assist came during a 3-0 win away at Doncaster Rovers a few days later (24 October 2023) where he also played two key passes and completed 89 per cent of his overall passes while playing slightly further forward.
He also put in some impressive performances toward the end of the campaign, with his final appearance for Salford coming in a 2-2 draw with Harrogate Town (27 April).
That afternoon he helped his side earn a point by winning 100 per cent of his aerial duels, completing 84 per cent of his passes and making one clearance.
While he was in and out of the team at times, Ingram certainly showed enough moments of promise to warrant a contract offer at The Hawthorns.
And supporters will now anxiously await the youngster’s decision.
In other West Brom news, Kipre has been spotted wearing an Atletico Madrid kit.
