West Brom transfer fee revealed for Torbjörn Heggem signing after medical in England
West Brom will pay £525,000 to sign Torbjörn Heggem from IF Brommapojkarna, according to Expressen.
The Swedish news outlet reported online (25 June) that Heggem is in England to conduct his medical with the Baggies.
Should he pass the tests he will sign his contract at The Hawthorns and his move will be made official.
Heggem has just six months left on his contract with IF Brommapojkarna and this is therefore the last chance for his current side to cash in on him.
Torbjörn Heggem set to complete his move from IF Brommapojkarna to West Brom
Supporters at The Hawthorns are unlikely to know much about Heggem and are even less likely to have seen him in action.
However, what is known is that he is a 25-year-old versatile defender who can play at both left-back and centre-back. As a result, fans should be excited as this is a position which desperately needs addressing.
It is looking increasingly unlikely that Cedric Kipre will remain with the club, and after the way he performed last season, it will take a lot for someone to fill his boots.
Therefore, fans will be hopeful that Heggem can come into the club and hit the ground running.
While they might not know much about the player themselves, supporters should be confident that Carlos Corberan does.

The Baggies boss has a good eye for talent, and if he is keen on the player, then that should fill supporters with some confidence.
In other West Brom news, the club have made contact to sign a Sheffield Wednesday player.
