Okay Yokuşlu sends message as West Brom exit speculation emerges
Carlos Corberan will be desperate to keep hold of West Brom midfielder Okay Yokuşlu.
The Baggies star has been linked with a move away from The Hawthorns, and supporters are therefore likely to feel concerned.
As reported by Ertan Süzgün via X on Friday (5 July), negotiations between West Brom and Beşiktaş for the transfer of Yokuşlu are at their final stages.
Yokuşlu was a key player for West Brom last season, and this will therefore come as a devastating blow for Corberan and supporters at The Hawthorns.
And the 30-year-old reminded his current fanbase of the quality they would be missing with his cameo performance for Türkiye on Saturday (6 July).
The midfielder was flying the flag for the Baggies at the 2024 UEFA European Championship in Germany.
His Türkiye side exceeded expectations by reaching the quarter-final, where they were beaten 2-1 by the Netherlands.
However, despite the defeat, Yokuşlu will still be able to hold his head high after his contributions.

Although he didn’t start a match at the tournament, Yokuşlu was still handed his fair share of minutes.
He came on with 13 minutes to play against the Netherlands after his side had just gone 2-1 down.
And although he wasn’t able to help turn the score around, his individual display demonstrated the quality he possesses.
As per Sofascore, he completed 89 per cent of his passes while on the pitch and was accurate with 100 per cent of his long balls forward.
In addition, he won 100 per cent of both his ground and aerial duels, while also winning a foul for his team.
He gave the ball away on just one occasion and also made an interception.
It was a clear display of his quality, and Yokuşlu making an appearance in such a high-profile fixture would have acted as a reminder to supporters of the quality of player that they have.
With that in mind, everyone connected with the club will no doubt be desperate to keep hold of him.
