West Brom Women’s head coach reflects on the 2023/24 campaign
Hodgetts recently reflected on her first season in charge of Albion Women with pride, despite a tough final game of the season.
Guiding the Baggies to a ninth-place finish in the 2023/24 FAWNL Northern Premier Division, she said she feels positive about the team’s progress.
Speaking to the club’s official website following a defeat to Newcastle United on the last day of the 2023/24 campaign, she said: “We didn’t want to end on a 4-0 loss, but we can take positives from the game compared to last time.
“We have to see the journey we’ve been on as a team. We didn’t necessarily pick up the points we should’ve at the start of the campaign. We worked on things in the new year and had a great March to help secure a decent finish.”
Hodgetts expressed pride in the staff and players, emphasising the hard work and improvement shown throughout the season. Looking ahead, the head coach is excited for pre-season and believes in the potential of her squad.
