West Brom boss Carlos Corberan tells Guillem Balague his biggest challenge

West Brom manager Carlos Corberan has detailed one of his greatest challenges as a coach.

The 41-year-old was speaking to Guillem Balague ahead of the 2024 UEFA European Championship final between England and Spain on Sunday (14 July).

During the conversation, the West Brom boss shared some insight into the challenges he faces as a manager.

Corberan said, “To build something special, you need to be able to manage some individual sacrifices. If you are not going to accept the sacrifice for the benefit of the team, it is not going to work.

“In the difficult situations, it is not going to work. For me, this is one of the challenges as a coach that we always have.

“Probably as a coach, it is one of the biggest ones.”

Will Carlos Corberan continue with West Brom at The Hawthorns?

It is looking more and more likely that Corberan will be in the dugout at The Hawthorns when the 2024/25 season gets underway.

There have been plenty of suggestions that the manager could leave the club ahead of next season, and it is understandable why this speculation has swirled.

Corberan has done a fantastic job since taking over at West Brom and came close to guiding the Baggies back to the Premier League last season.

He will want to have another push at promotion during the upcoming campaign, and if his players want to help him reach their goals, Corberan has made it very clear what he expects of them.

Everybody connected with the club will no doubt hope to see Corberan remain in charge, and the players must therefore ensure to make those sacrifices to keep their boss happy.

Next season will likely be even tougher than last, and it is going to take a lot of hard work if West Brom want to make a return to the top flight of English football.

In other West Brom news, the club are at work to bring five more summer signings to The Hawthorns.
