West Brom fans panic over Okay Yokuslu transfer latest – ‘Huge loss’, ‘Makes no sense’

West Brom supporters have urged their club that selling Okay Yokuslu to league rivals Hull City would be an unwise move.

Yokuslu, who has just a year remaining on his contract at The Hawthorns, and Hull have been reported to hold an ambitious interest in the Turkiye international [Hull Live, 15 July].

Initially mooted to be joining Besiktas in his homeland before this link died down, the idea of Yokuslu remaining in the Championship with the Tigers and their Turkish owner Acun Ilicali has worried some sections of the Albion support.

Hull may be about to receive a tidy windfall from the likely sale of star man Jaden Philogene, who is wanted by several Premier League clubs.

The 30-year-old, who rejoined the club in 2022, has just a year left on his current contract and is consequently valued at around £3m.
