Celtic fans say same thing about Johnston after West Brom exit – ‘Absolutely sick of this’

Celtic supporters have been tearing former West Brom loanee Mikey Johnston apart despite his goalscoring display in the USA on Sunday.

The 25-year-old featured and scored for the Hoops as they thrashed D.C United 4-0 in a pre-season friendly on Sunday 21 July.

Johnston got on the scoresheet in the 64th minute. However, he also missed a chance to add to his tally when his penalty was saved late on in the match.

During his time at The Hawthorns Johnston became something of a fan favourite among the Baggies’ fanbase. However, it is clear to see that the same sentiment is not shared among Celtic supporters.

Despite getting on the scoresheet, the fans at Celtic Park made their feelings toward the forward very clear.

It was difficult to find many positive comments about Johnston even after he got himself on the scoresheet for the Hoops.

Many supporters made it known that they have no faith in him succeeding at the club, and would much rather see him moved on.

One supporter even suggested he would be “willing to pay West Brom” to re-sign the Ireland international.
