Cedric Kipre to complete West Brom exit this week as contract terms almost agreed – Dharmesh Sheth
Cedric Kipre looks set to complete his exit from West Brom this week as he edges closer to a deal with French club Reims, according to Sky Sports.
The report from Dharmesh Sheth (23 July) notes that Reims have beaten off competition from a parade of clubs across England and Europe.
Kipre is out of contract this summer with the likes of Trabzonspor putting in offers in recent weeks (Sport Digitale, 16 July).
West Brom look to a future without Kipre
Throughout the course of his career, the 27-year-old had been struggling to find a permanent home for himself after bouncing around a string of clubs including Motherwell and Wigan.
Now, though, after four years at The Hawthorns, he’s ready to return to France where it all began with Paris Saint-Germain’s youth system in 2008.

Kipre was integral in the club’s promotion push last season having started 44 games in the Championship (FBref). With that being said, it’s always felt as if they were prepared for this eventuality, especially after the recent announcement that they’d confirmed the signing of Torbjorn Heggem from Brommapojkarna.
While it’s understandable that the West Brom faithful would be upset to see such a fan favourite go, Carlos Corberan has proven he is to be trusted in the transfer market. There are still a couple of weeks left until the start of the new campaign, and something tells us this move could free him up to pursue even more intriguing transfers.
