West Brom fans thrilled as behind-the-scenes Okay Yokuşlu images emerge – ‘New contract?’
West Brom supporters are desperate for exit-linked midfielder Okay Yokuşlu to remain at The Hawthorns.
Yokuşlu returned to pre-season training with the Baggies on Friday (26 July). The 30-year-old was granted extra time off following his exploits at the 2024 UEFA European Championship with Türkiye.
The club posted a video via their official X account (26 July) of Yokuşlu returning for pre-season training, alongside the caption, “Good to see you, Okay!”
And the fan favourite responded to the video with a message of his own, writing via X (26 July), “Back to work”.
Yokuşlu was a key player for Carlos Corberan last season. He made 44 appearances in the Championship, scoring one goal and providing one assist.

For now, it appears as though the Türkiye international is focussed on life at The Hawthorns. However, speculation continues to swirl in the background regarding where Yokuşlu will play his football next season.
As reported by Ertan Suzgun via Play Spor on X (25 July), Yokuşlu has agreed on personal terms with Trabzonspor while the Turkish club continue to negotiate a fee with West Brom.
The Baggies are expecting an increased transfer offer.
However, if it was up to supporters, those discussions would be brought to a close. Fans took to social media to express their delight at seeing Yokuşlu back in training and made it very clear that they don’t want the midfielder to go anywhere.
